What actually happens on a free consultation with luminAIt
Thirty minutes, no pitch deck. We listen, look for your real bottleneck, and you leave with a direction, even if the answer isn't AI. Here's how it works.
"Free consultation" can mean anything from a genuinely useful conversation to a sales pitch with a calendar invite. So here's exactly what happens when you book one with luminAIt.
It's 30 minutes, and it has three parts.
1. We listen
The first part is about your business: what you do, who you serve, and where you're stuck.
No pitch deck. I'm not going to open with slides about us, because the call isn't about us. I'll ask questions and mostly stay quiet. The goal is to understand how your business actually works day to day, not how it looks on the website.
If you've already got an idea for what you want built, great. Bring it. But I'll also ask about the business around the idea, because that's usually where the real answer is.
2. We look for the real bottleneck
The second part is the one people don't expect.
The bottleneck you come in with is often not the real one. Sometimes the answer isn't AI.
That isn't me being contrary. It's what happens when you ask the right questions. One client, a health and wellness company, came to us wanting AI to bring in new customers. The real problem turned out to be customers leaving because they didn't feel heard. The first fix was a ticketing system and an automatic email, and churn eventually fell by about 60%. That's the churn case study, and it started with exactly this kind of conversation.
I use the same questions on every call: why are we building this, who is it for, and what problem does it solve for them? If we can answer all three by the end, we've already done something most AI projects never do.
3. You leave with a direction
By the end of the call, you leave with a few realistic paths forward and an honest read on whether we're the right partner to build it.
Sometimes we are. Sometimes the right next step is something you can do yourself, or a tool you can buy off the shelf, or a different kind of partner. If that's the answer, I'll tell you. A call that ends with "you don't need us for this" is still a call that saved you time and money.
What happens if it's a fit
If it's a fit, we go deeper. We map your mission, your funnel and your operations, and turn them into a roadmap ranked by impact and effort, in plain English. No jargon, no forty-page strategy document nobody reads.
That roadmap follows the same order I use on every project, which I explain in Stop starting with AI: name the real problem, build a process that works without AI, collect examples of it working, teach AI to copy that quality, and set governance before scale.
What to bring
You don't need to prepare anything. But if you want to get the most out of 30 minutes, think about:
- What you'd fix first if you had an extra pair of hands tomorrow.
- Who your best customer is, and what made them choose you.
- Where time goes in a normal week that you wish it didn't.
- The sentence test: "We're building ______ for ______ so they can stop ______." If you can't fill in the last blank yet, that's fine. That's what the call is for.
Who it's for
The free consultation is for founders, entrepreneurs and business owners who are wondering where AI fits in their business, or whether it fits at all. If you're done experimenting and ready to build something that actually ships, it's a good place to start.
Not ready to talk yet? Take the AI readiness quiz first, or read more about how luminAIt works.
